SCAD Life (Kinda… Online)
Taking classes at SCAD while still in high school? Pretty awesome. Pretty intense. But mostly awesome.

My Classes
Right now, I’m deep into Design 100 and Digital Communications, and let me tell you—these are not “just log in and coast” kind of classes. The assignments are legit. The teachers are super engaged, and the feedback is super helpful. I’ve always felt comfortable with photography, but diving into design principles, Figma, and Illustrator has stretched me in the best way. Learning how to build a concept from scratch and bring it to life visually? Way harder than I thought. But also way cooler.
I’ve also been using AI tools to speed things up and try out new ideas faster—moodboards, quick layouts, rough drafts, you name it. It’s been a game changer for my creative flow (and let’s be honest, my sanity during all-nighters).
Earlier this year, I toured the SCAD campus and the second I stepped foot in Savannah, I was like yep… this is it. The vibe, the people, the energy—it all clicked. I’m planning to apply to SCAD next year, and honestly? I can’t wait. These classes have only made me more sure that this is where I want to be.
More caffein. More Illustrator. Let’s go.
